WORKSHOPS

All topics can be offered as 30, 60, or 90-minute workshops.

  • This is a fast-paced workshop designed to teach actors how to get off-book without the script in their hands. I utilize a mixture of gestural learning, gestural behavior, and spatial memory, which allows actors to develop mature acting choices… all while memorizing astonishingly fast. No longer will actors have to memorize first and then act later. Act now, then memorize without knowing it!

  • This series is geared towards getting the cast and full company to become comfortable with one another. We will utilize different movement exercises that focus on spatial relationships, perception of body movements, group bonding, and confidence building. By the end of this workshop, I guarantee that the environment will be one where the company trusts one another and feels safe making bold decisions.

  • Designed for either armed or unarmed sequences, this workshop is designed to teach actors how to simulate fighting. Actors will learn terminology, correct ways to fall, how to make hits look real, and how to bring acting into the moves. They’ll understand energy lines, directing audience attention, and how they can show physical intensity in a controlled manner.

  • Learn how to safely choreograph intimate scenes with actors’ comfortability and boundaries in mind. Learn terminology to effectively and safely communicate with cast members to craft beautiful moments that support storytelling.

  • Develop unique and individualized movement exercises stylized to fit the emotions, mood, and themes of your show. This topic focuses on guiding actors through a journey to authentically discover the emotional depth of their character. By the end of this workshop, actors will be uninhibited, feel confident, and will know how to work past their own mental blocks and emotional insecurities.
